Badges Presented to 10 New Officers

There are some fresh faces at Windsor Police.

Ten new officers received their badges during a ceremony last week.

The ten new recruits will be stationed at various locations throughout the city and will hit the streets immediately.

Constable Talya Natyshak says it should help to combat crime.

"The more officers out there the better and these recruits have spent 13 weeks at OPC (Ontario Police College) and they are ready and excited to get started."

Constable Natyshak tells AM800 News they are ready to hit the road.

"All over, they will be with their coach officers for a period of time, usually around three months," adds Natyshak.

Some of the training included four weeks of in-house training.
