It's a sold out event for the annual In Honour Of The Ones We Love gala.

The gala takes place Saturday night at the Ciociaro Club and founder Anita Imperioli says 1,000 people are expected to attend.

She's thankful the community continues to support the event in a big way.

"That means we continue to make success and head way with the equipment we want to purchase," says Imperioli.  "It benefits our patients and our families and our community."

Imperioli says money raised from the gala assists different programs along with health care equipment.

"We work with life-threatening illnesses so it goes from cancer to any type of life-threatening illnesses," says Imperioli.  "So we've been very fortunate this year, we've been able to donate to mental health and all kinds of other organizations."

She loves seeing the community come together.

"When we come together we can make a difference together, that's the way it works," says Imperioli.  "We can do so much together when we rally together, it's just so much different."

This is the 22nd year for the gala with year's theme being "Dreams Do Come True."

In Honour Of The Ones We Love is a charitable organization that supports cancer patients in Windsor-Essex.
