Chatham Shopper Allegedly Assaulted for not Following Grocery Store Arrows


A Chatham-Kent woman has been charged for assaulting a shopper for not following the arrows on the floor to maintain physical distancing.

Officers were called Thursday afternoon to a grocery store in Chatham.

According to police, once outside, the woman noticed the victim was taking a photo of her vehicle and pushed a grocery cart toward her.

A 29-year-old woman has been charged with assault and assault with a weapon.
