Chatham teen charged with assault


A Chatham teen has been charged with assault after an incident at a Chatham public school.

According to Chatham-Kent police, officers were called to King George IV School on Delaware Avenue in Chatham late Tuesday morning for an assault investigation.

Police say a verbal argument between two students escalated when one assaulted the other.

A 13-year-old boy has been charged with assault.

He was released to his parents with conditions and a future court date.
