Construction complete on Oakwood dog park
More options for local dog lovers.
The City of Windsor has announced completion of the new dog park at Oakwood Park, located at 3401 Liberty Street, directly behind the Capri Pizzeria Recreation Complex.
The new facility boasts accessible asphalt trails, concrete pathways, drainage improvements, fencing, and concrete pads with benches.
Construction began back in May, with Manager of Parks Development Wadah Al-Yassiri saying residents had been requesting more amenities like dog parks in the city.
Officials say while the overall contruction is complete, a few finishing touches are still to be added.
Those include a drinking fountain and new trees that will be planted in the spring of 2024.
