Dodgers Wallop Washington in Series Opener
Walker Buehler and three relievers combined on a two-hitter as the Dodgers blanked the Washington Nationals 6-0 in Game One of the NLDS in Los Angeles.
Buehler struck out eight over six innings of one-hit ball for the win.
Max Muncy's two-run single in the seventh broke open a 2-0 game and Gavin Lux and Joc Pederson added solo homers in the eighth.
Patrick Corbin struck out nine while allowing two runs in six frames to take the loss.
LA hosts Game Two on Friday.
In the other MLB playoff game on Thursday, Marcell Ozuna and Kolten Wong each doubled in two in the ninth inning and the St Louis Cardinals held on for a 7-6 win over the Braves in Game One of their NLDS in Atlanta.
