Hearing Begins for Suspect Charged in Death of Windsor Woman
A preliminary hearing has begun for a Canadian man charged in the death of a Windsor woman.
Two weeks have been set aside for the hearing for Jitesh Bhogal, who is charged with first-degree murder, aggravated sexual assault and break and enter in the death of 31-year-old Autumn Taggart.
Taggart, who was also known as Maya Madolyn, was killed in her apartment on University Ave. West and McKay Ave in June 10th, 2018.
Investigators say her young son was in the apartment at the time of the murder.
She died of blunt force trauma.
Bhogal, 28, was arrested in Washington State on August 17th.
The hearing in a Windsor courtroom will determine if there is enough evidence to proceed to trial.
