A group of Kingsville businesses is helping out the public schools of the town.

A cheque totaling $17,000 has been donated by the Eat, Drink, Dine Kingsville members this week.

The money will be shared by Jack Miner Public School and Kingsville Public School.

Students from both schools sold $25 gift cards redeemable at EDDK member establishments, with $5 from every sale going back to the schools.

It's the second year for the fundraiser, last year Kingsville Public School students raised $7,300, which was used to purchase new tablets and laptops.
