UPDATE: Ministry of Labour To Investigate Industrial Accident In Oldcastle
An industrial accident in Oldcastle.
Tecumseh Fire Chief Doug Pitre says fire crews along with the OPP were called to Precision Stamping Friday morning.
He says a large piece of machinery weighing 45,000 lbs fell on a worker's arm.
The Ministry of Labour has been called in to investigate and is sending one inspector to the area.
"It was reported to us that a dye allegedly slipped from a forklift and it injured a worker's hand," says Janet Deline, spokesperson with the Ministry of Labour. "We don't have any other information about injuries at this time."
The worker has been taken to the hospital.
