LaSalle Moves Forward with March Break Activities

It's business as usual at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The town announced its moving forward with March Break activities including day camps, swimming and public skating after being assured the risk of contracting COVID-19 locally is very low.

According to Windsor Essex County Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Wajid Ahmed, there are still no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the region, so he advised the town not to cancel activities.

Events cancelled by local, national and provincial organizations will remain in effect, but the Vollmer Complex will remain open to the public, according to the release.

The town is asking the public to do its part by staying home if they're not feeling well, washing their hands regularly,  and covering up when coughing or sneezing.
