Life-threatening injuries after cyclist pinned under vehicle
A cyclist is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a serious crash in Chatham-Kent.
Police were called to McFarlane Ave and Beth Crescent just before 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday after receiving a number of 911 calls regarding a collision between a vehicle and a bike.
The investigation found the cyclist was travelling westbound when a vehicle turned east, hitting the person on the bike who became trapped under the car.
Police say civilians tried to free the cyclist but the vehicle moved forward, further trapping the victim, who was eventually freed and taken to London Health Sciences Centre.
The crash remains under investigation.
