Lions Hold Off Chargers
Matthew Stafford threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Kenny Golladay midway through the fourth quarter and the Detroit Lions held on for a 13-10 win over the Los Angeles Chargers at Ford Field.
Darius Slay intercepted Philip Rivers in the end zone with just over a minute left to seal the deal as Detroit improved to 1-0-and-1, in the NFC North Division.
Stafford also connected with Kerryon Johnson for a 36-yard TD in the first quarter.
Philip Rivers threw for 293 yards and the one interception for Los Angeles, which fell to 1-and-1 on the NFL season.
Detroit is 1-0-and-1 and visits Philly this coming Sunday.
