Lions Tie Cardinals in Season Opener
The Arizona Cardinals and Kyler Murray rallied from 18 points down in the fourth quarter to force overtime and eventually a 27-27 tie with the Detroit Lions.
Murray found David Johnson for 27 yards to get the Cardinals within a score with just under six minutes remaining.
The rookie quarterback then found Larry Fitzgerald with 43 seconds left and Arizona converted a two-point conversion to force OT.
Murray was 29-of-54 for 308 yards and two scores.
Detroit led 17-0 in the first half.
Matthew Stafford threw three TD passes for the Lions, including one to rookie T.J Hockenson, who had 131 yards receiving.
The Lions' NFL home opener is this Sunday against the San Diego Chargers.
