Local Hypnotist Faces Long List Of Sexual Assault Charges

A Windsor man known as a hypnotist is facing a number of sexual assault charges and investigators believe there may be even more victims.

In March of this year, the Windsor Police Major Crimes Branch launched an investigation into a sexual assault complaint.

As a result of that investigation, James Graham was charged with four counts of sexual assault and one count of assault against a woman in her 50's.

A further investigation was launched when police became aware of a possible second female victim in her 50's.

That investigation has resulted in 11 more counts of sexual assault, two counts of uttering a threat and one count of assault being laid against the 57-year-old Graham.

Police say both victims reported knowing Graham as a local hypnotist and a musician.

Windsor Police Sergeant Steve Betteridge says it's important to note this is not a case involving a stranger.

"Both victims knew the accused, both victims were in a relationship with the accused. That being said, investigators now believe, given the fact that we have two victims, that yes there is a potential for further victims to exist," says Betteridge.

Investigators are asking any other potential victims to contact them.
