Lola's Pajama Fairy Project returns this holiday season.

From November 1 to December 1, the project will be collecting new children, youth, and adult pajamas of all sizes.

The project, rooted in the spirit of giving, aims to collect new pajamas for the entire family, ensuring they experience the coziness and happiness of the holiday season.

Since the project began in 2017, thousands of pairs of pajamas have been donated to Windsor-Essex residents, including over 2,300 raised last year.

This year there are a variety of drop-off locations, as well as the project partnering with local hockey teams for donations.

Carrie Lee, project coordinator, says they donate the pajamas to numerous locations.

"Our main charities right now are Matthew House, Hiatus House, and Adopt-A-Vet. Those were also for last year, and we ended up being able to donate to an additional 12 other charities. We had collected 2,300-and-some odd pajamas, so we were able to spread them far and wide."

She says each year has grown more and more.

"Our first year that we did this we collected 150 pairs of pajamas, and each year has grown in a big way, but last year being our biggest year at 2,000. So this year our hope is we'll get as many pajamas as we can, but we're setting our goal probably at 3,000, we'd be really happy with that."

Lee says they are collecting from kid to adult sizes.

"It's harder to get adults pajamas and larger youth sizes. Little kids pajamas are just so sweet, but we definitely provide pajamas for adults, male and female as well."

The Leamington Flyer Hockey Team will be collecting at the Nature Fresh Recreation Centre and Arena on November 9 at 7:10 p.m., the Windsor Spitfires team will be collecting at the WFCU Centre at the game on November 18 at 7:05 p.m., and the Amherstburg Admirals Hockey Team will collect pajamas at the Libro Centre on November 18 at 7:30 p.m.
