Man Charged in Baby's Death Released on Bail

A man charged in the death of a baby in Windsor has been released from custody on $25,000 bail.

Following a hearing Thursday morning, the 28-year-old man became emotional as he was led out of the courtroom.

The man, who can't be named due to a publication ban, is charged with second degree murder in the baby's death.

Back in June, two babies were taken to the hospital in Windsor.

One suffered non-life threatening injuries, while the other suffered critical injuries and died 23 days later in the hospital.

The baby's mother, a 27-year-old woman, was also charged and had earlier been released on bail.

As part of his bail, the accused must abide by certain living conditions while the case proceeds through the courts.
