Nearly 200 COVID-19 Deaths in Michigan

Another day, another spike in COVID-19 numbers in Michigan, especially Detroit.

There are now 6,498 cases in the state and 184 deaths. The City of Detroit remains at the top of the list for cases with 1,801, followed by W ayne County with 1,394,  Oakland County has 1,365 and Macomb County has 728.

51 per cent of the cases in Michigan are female and 20 per cent of the total cases are between 50-59 years of age.

DTE Energy has donated approximately 2,000 respirator masks to the Detroit Police Department (DPD).

Over three-dozen members of the DPD, including Chief James Craig, have tested positive for the virus.  Approximately 469 officers are quarantined at home according to the department.
