Ohio Boaters Rescued by Kingsville Fire on Lake Erie
It was a rough ride for a boat that set out from Ohio and wound up capsized off the shore of Kingsville, Ont.
A spokesperson from the U.S. Coast Guard tells CTV London a 32 ft. boat with three people on board flipped in rough waters near Put-in Bay on Lake Erie Sunday.
The U.S. Coast Guard lost communication with the vessel after it sent out a distress call, but OPP were able to locate the boat through GPS 200 yards from shore in Kingsville Harbour.
Kingsville Fire and Rescue then pulled all three boaters from the water.
The Coast Guard spokesperson says two people had to be treated for undisclosed injuries.
