Oliver Named Coach For Canada


3D Global Sports Canada has announced that University of Windsor Men’s Basketball Coach Chris Oliver has been named the head coach for the upcoming 40th William Jones Cup.

The Williams Jones Cup runs from July 14-22 in Taipei, Taiwan.

Oliver is the head coach of the University of Windsor Men’s Basketball Program and most recently finished his 13th season with the program and brings over 20 years of coaching
at the Canadian University level.

Coach Oliver says he owes so much to the sport.

"My basketball immersion that I share on social media, and with coaches in person at clinics, and players at camps, it's been an opportunity for me to give back to the game that's done so much for me."

Oliver tells AM800 Sports he's excited for the opportunity.

"For me personally, with all these years of coaching, this is my first time to be a head coach in an International tournament so that's a big milestone for me and something I always wanted to do to challenge myself a a coach."

3D Global Sports expects to announce the training camp, full roster and coaching staff for the 40th William Jones Cup in the coming weeks, leading to the tournament in Taipei, Taiwan from July 14 to 22.
