Police Recover Stolen Gun in West Windsor Traffic Stop
A traffic stop in west Windsor has pulled a stolen gun and drugs off the streets.
Windsor Police Service says an "active investigation" on Friday March 20 led to a vehicle being "targeted" by the Emergency Services Unit. The ESU pulled the vehicle over in the 1200 block of Armanda Street around 9 p.m. and the passenger was found to have a loaded firearm.
Police say the man was arrested without incident and the illegal weapon was seized. Investigators learned the firearm was reported stolen during a break and enter in the fall of 2019
The man was also in possession of an undisclosed quantity of cocaine, according to police.
A 42-year-old Windsor man is charged with numerous firearm related offences, possession of a controlled substance and five counts of breaching a court order.
