Raiders Beat Broncos on MNF
Derek Carr threw a touchdown pass, rookie Josh Jacobs ran for two scores and the Oakland Raiders responded to a tumultuous week surrounding former receiver Antonio Brown by beating the Denver Broncos 24-16 in the NFL Monday night.
The Raiders took out all the frustration over the drama surrounding Brown's release with a convincing win over the A-F-C West rival Broncos.
Carr was an efficient 22-of-26 for 259 yards, a touchdown, and he threw no picks and was not sacked.
Jacobs run for 85 yards and two scores and also had a 28-yard reception. He's the first since 2001 to eclipse 100 total yards and score twice in his NFL debut.
Joe Flacco threw for 268 yards and a touchdown, but was sacked three times in defeat.
In the other NFL game Monday night, the New Orleans Saints defeated the Houston Texans 30-28 in a thriller.
