Red Wings Blanked by Flyers

Brian Elliott collected 16 saves for his 40th career shutout as the Flyers blanked the Red Wings 3-0 in Detroit.

Scott Laughton, Kevin Hayes and Matt Niskanen lit the lamp for Philadelphia, which is 6-1-and-1 in its last eight games.  

Jonathan Bernier made 28 saves for Detroit, which is 0-8-and-1 in its last nine.  The Wings failed to score on two power plays.

The Wings begin a two-game road trip on Thursday against the Buffalo Sabres.
