Anders Lee and Anthony Beauvillier scored in the first period to skate New York to a 2-0 lead.
Dylan Larkin got one back for Detroit on the power play midway through the second before Eberle put the game away with his two tallies.
The Isles have won two straight since a three-game skid.
The Red Wings went 1-for-6 on the power play and have lost 10 in-a-row, including eight straight regulation losses.
The Red Wings will host the Penguins on Saturday.
