Spartans Win Home Opener Over Tulsa


The Michigan State Spartans opened up the college football season with a win at home.

They rolled over Tulsa 28-7 Friday night.

Defence was the story for the number-18 Spartans who held Tulsa to minus-73 yards rushing.

Kenny Willekes recovered two fumbles including one in the end zone for a touchdown.

The Spartans have now won 21 straight home openers.

Next up, Michigan hosts Western Michigan next Saturday night.
