Spitfires fall 4-1 to the Colts in Barrie


The Windsor Spitfires fell 4-1 to the Colts in Barrie Thursday evening. 

The Spitfires were coming off a win on Sunday afternoon against the 67's in Ottawa. 

A quiet first period but the Colts are the first team to score, leading 1-0. 

In the second period, Barrie scored another less than three minutes into play. 

Windsor's Liam Greentree, who continues to be one of the top league leaders for points, scored an unassisted goal, bringing the scoreboard to 2-1. 

In the third, the Colts scored two goals in the period, winning the game 4-1. 

Windsor had 32 shots on goal, while Barrie had 24. 

The Spitfires will now travel to Guelph to take on the Storm Friday evening. 

Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m., with the AM800 pre-game show with Steve Bell getting underway at 7:15 p.m.
