Spitfires looking to snap five game losing streak

The Windsor Spitfires will look to snap a five game losing streak when they welcome the Owen Sound Attack to the WFCU Centre on Thursday night.

The Spitfires are coming off a 6-5 loss against Saginaw their last time out on Sunday, while Owen Sound lost 5-2 against Mississauga in their last game.

Forwards Liam Greentree and Oliver Peer continue to lead the way offensively for the Spits, with 24 points and 22 points respectively on the season.

Starting goaltender Joey Costanzo sits last in both goals against average and save percentage league wide, along with a 3-9 record so far.

Windsor enters Thursday night with a record of 4-13-1-0, last overall in both the West Division and the entire Ontario Hockey League, while Owen Sound are 7-9-2-0.

Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m., with the AM800 pre-game show with Steve Bell getting underway at 6:50 p.m.

It'll be another busy stretch for the Spitfires, with three games over three days.

After Thursday night, the team will head to Kitchener to take on the Rangers Friday night, before returning back to the WFCU Centre on Saturday for the second half of the home and home set against Kitchener.
