The Windsor Spitfires have announced their leadership group for the upcoming OHL season.

For the second year in a row, forward Luke Boka will wear the "C."

His assistants are Chris Playfair, Connor Corcoran and Cole Purboo.

Boka says the team is ready to start the season.

"I think we got a great group of character guys in our room and it's really exciting," says Boka. "I think we're all showing up to the rink with a mind set of getting better and it's feeding off on each other.  You can see in the practices and we're really hoping that's going to translate into the games."

Boka says the leadership groups wants to set a good example for the entire team.

"We all know how to treat each other and everyone's kind of falling down the line throughout me, Play, Purbs and Corkie, I think we all have the mind set to come here by the hardest working guys here and it's trickling down," says Boka.

The Plymouth, Michigan native is entering his fifth season with the Spits.

He has played in 254 regular season games registering 43 goals and 104 points.

The Spits open the regular season on Saturday against the Peterborough Petes.

You can listen to the game on AM800 Saturday beginning at 6:30 p.m.
