Spitfires travel to Saginaw for West Division matchup against Spirit
The Windsor Spitfires will look to stop a three game slide Saturday night, when they travel to Saginaw to take on the rival Spirit in a West Division matchup.
The Spitfires are coming off a 10-7 loss against the London Knights on Thursday night, while the Spirit defeated the Flint Firebirds 6-2 their last time out on Wednesday.
Windsor is currently sitting last overall in the Ontario Hockey League, with a record of 4-11-1-0 on the season.
They are six points back of the Spirit, who are 4th in the West Division, with a record of 7-7-0-1.
Forward Liam Greentree continues to lead the way offensively for the Spits, with 10 goals and 11 assists in his second full season in the league, while defenceman Rodwin Dionicio is helping out from the backline 5 goals and 12 assists so far this year.
Puck drop on Saturday is set for 7:05 p.m., and the AM800 pre-game show with Steve Bell will get underway at 6:50 p.m.
The two teams will then return to Windsor for a rematch on Sunday night.
Forward Ethan Martin has been suspended for two games for his cross-checking major against the London Knights on Thursday, and will miss both games this weekend.
