VIDEO: Teen Recovering After Alleged Assault at Tecumseh Fireworks

A Windsor mother is demanding charges be laid after her teen daughter was allegedly assaulted by a group of girls, following the fireworks in Tecumseh.

Speaking on AM800's the Lynn Martin Show, Stephanie LaRocque says her 15-year-old daughter went to the fireworks with friends Monday night.

While leaving the fireworks, a group of 6-8 girls, was following and saying they wanted to fight.

At one point, LaRocque claims her daughter fell to the ground and was kicked and punched.

She suffered bruises, soreness and a black eye.

It was caught on video.

"Just looking at this video boils my blood, boils me, you  have no idea, my daughter, my household is very traumatized by this, it is very heartbreaking that this has happened to my daughter," she says.

She says people were walking by and drivers were honking their horns.

LaRocque says the incident was reported to the OPP.

"The cop did tell me that it would take a little bit to investigate and I'm like investigate what though, you have the video, I gave you names, charge these little friggen kids, charge them."

She says her daughter did not know the girls who allegedly assaulted her and she is worried about the effects the beating will have on her shy and quiet daughter.

OPP Constable Karen Sinnaeve confirms there is an ongoing investigation in relation to the matter.
