Three people charged in stolen property investigation


Windsor police say three people have been arrested and charged after a "successful covert operation."

According to police, the operation led to the recovery of stolen property as well as the seizure of drugs and weapons.

Police say on October 18, officers were called to a break-and-enter at a storage unit in the 800 block of Walker Road and were told by the complainant that personal items were taken including two sets of expensive running shoes.

Five days later, the complainant called police to report the shoes were being sold online.

As part of the investigation, police contacted the seller of the shoes and arrested three people without incident.

Police say a search warrant was also executed and officers seized brass knuckles and over $7,400 of fentanyl and dilaudid.

Two 39-year-olds and a 24-year-old have been charged.

Charges include Trafficking property obtained by crime, not exceeding $5,000, Possession of a prohibited weapon and Possession of a schedule substance for trafficking
