Toronto Pair Accused of Wreaking Havoc in Chatham-Kent

A pair of men are in custody, accused of leaving a path of destruction in Chatham-Kent.

Chatham-Kent Police responded to two separate car crashes just before 5pm Saturday afternoon — one on Tecumseh Line, the other on Merlin Rd.

Further investigation found the driver and passenger had rolled a vehicle on Tecumseh Line before breaking into a home to steal a second vehicle.

The pair then rolled the second vehicle several hundred metres away.

The two suspects, 36-year-old and 33-year-old Toronto males, were arrested after receiving treatment at hospital.

While in custody police also located a prohibited weapon on the 33-year-old and he was charged with possession of a prohibited weapon.

The two men are facing a long list of charges including break and enter, theft of motor vehicle and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
