Two people shot in targeted shooting near downtown: Windsor police

Two people were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after being shot near downtown early Saturday morning

Just before 2 a.m., police received a call that multiple people had been shot at a residence in the 200 block of Giles Boulevard West. 

Officers found a 32-year-old man and 35-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds.

The Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation.

Police believe the shooting was targeted and continue to search for both the suspects and the firearm used.

Investigators urge residents in the area of the 200 block of Giles Blvd. W. to review their security surveillance cameras for suspicious activity.
