The cause of a west-Windsor fire has been ruled accidental.

Windsor Fire and Rescue were called to 1725 Dominion Blvd. around 2:30pm, according to Chief Fire Prevention Officer John Lee.

"One of our fire prevention officers was driving by and noticed the smoke coming out and called it in," says Lee. "It was confirmed to be a working fire."

Lee says the fire started on the main floor near the kitchen.

"There is some damage throughout the whole house from what I'm being told from the crews but it appears to have started in the area of the kitchen on the first floor," says Lee.

According to Lee, investigators determined the unoccupied home sustained $100,000 damage and oily rags in the kitchen ignited the blaze.

No one was injured fighting the fire.
