Update: One person arrested after standoff in Leamington
An eight-and-a-half hour long standoff at a home in Leamington is over.
It started around 5:00 Thursday afternoon when OPP officers went to a home on Seacliffe Drive East between Erie Street South and Cherry Lane.
Provincial police say an individual who was a subject in the investigation returned inside the residence.
Leamington OPP with the help of the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit took the person into custody around 1:30 Friday morning.
Police have cleared the area and the OPP say no further information will be provided at this time.
