Volunteers Pick Up Trash At Little River Watershed

A section of the Little River Watershed is a bit cleaner.

On Tuesday, Caesars Windsor's Code Green team partnered with the Detroit River Canadian Cleanup, the City of Windsor and the Little River Enhancement Group to pick up trash that was littered along a portion of the watershed near the Twin Oaks industrial complex on Munich Court.

Kelly LaForest is the Health, Safety and Environment Specialist for Caesars Windsor.

She says it was the fourth year the Code Green team participated in the clean up.

LaForest says volunteers removed a number of large items such as pool equipment, shingles and trees.

"I know we've pulled out lawnmowers, golf carts, bikes, you name it, we've pulled out everything," says LaForest.

Close to 45 people took part in the clean up.
