Windsor Eats Founder Named To Canadian Traveller's Top 40 Under 40
Top honours for the founder of the online food and drink guide 'Windsor Eats'.
Adriano Ciotoli has been named to Canadian Traveller Magazine's Top '40 under 40' in the Canadian tourism industry.
Ciotoli says the recognition means a lot, but more importantly, it'll help bring more attention to the tourism efforts taking place in Windsor-Essex.
He says the whole Windsor Eats team is doing great work.
"While it was recognizing me in the magazine, it's really the whole team behind us that is really made Windsor Eats what it is today. So even, while my name is the one that was published, it really is an honour for everyone. Just a nice reinforcement that we're doing some positive work here in Windsor."
Ciotoli says it's all about letting people know about what's happening in the region.
"A lot of people don't realize how great we have it here in Windsor-Essex from a tourism and from an experience perspective. I really wanted to make sure that that got out there with all the eyes that were going to be on this issue of Canadian Traveller. Hopefully it wasn't too much of a focus on myself or Windsor Eats in general, but really a focus on the region itself."
He says Windsor Eats has made big strides since it began 15 years ago.
"Our job is making sure that the City of Windsor and the County of Essex are all blossoming from the tourism perspective right? Slowly, but surely we're been able to do that over 15 years through this mention in Canadian Traveller to other awards and nominations and other showpieces of Windsor-Essex."
