Windsor police charge 15-year-old boy


A 15-year-old boy is facing a handful of charges after an assault in South Windsor.

As AM800 news reported on Tuesday, officers were called to the 2300-block of Everts Avenue last Friday for a report of an assault.

According to police, the victim was sitting in his vehicle when the suspect approached him and started an unprovoked argument.

Police say the victim tried to leave his vehicle, but the suspect assaulted him and damaged the victim's cell phone. 

The suspect then threatened to kill the victim and fled the scene.

Police say the victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the assault.

The boy is charged with assault, assault with a weapon, mischief under $5,000, and uttering death threats.
