Windsor Police Rescue Woman after 'Possible Overdose'

AM800 News has learned more on a police investigation along Windsor's riverfront.

Michelle Maluske of CTV Windsor discovered the scene Friday morning, but police would only say an investigation is underway.

Windsor Police Service says patrol officers discovered a woman suffering from a possible drug overdose under an overpass at Riverside Drive near Caron Avenue at around 8am.

The woman was treated by Essex-Windsor Emergency Services on scene then taken to hospital, according to police.

An area by the overpass and near a playground was taped off well into the morning while officers investigated the scene to eliminate any foul play.

Police tell AM800 News the woman pulled through and the investigation has concluded.
