Windsor Spitfires edged 3-2 by Greyhounds in Sault Ste. Marie; teams to face-off again Sunday

In the first of two weekend games in Sault Ste. Marie, the Windsor Spitfires were edged 3-2 by the Greyhounds Saturday night.
The Spits were first on the board at 10:45 in the first period with a goal by Oliver Peer, assisted by Alex Christopoulos. The Greyhounds answered back about five minutes later to tie it up 1-1.
At 4:14 into the second period, Spitfires centreman Ryan Abraham netted a goal assisted by Jacob Maillet making it 2-1.
Soo tied up the game 2-2 in the third but with 7 seconds left, the Greyhounds scored to win the game 3-2.
Spits goalie Joey Costanzo made 38 saves and was named first star of the game.
The two teams will face-off again Sunday afternoon at 2:07 p.m. at GFL Memorial Gardens Arena. The pre-game show starts at 1:50 p.m. with Steve Bell on AM800.
