The Ministry of Labour has issued two work orders against a Leamington greenhouse operator.

Ministry spokesperson Janet Deline says the orders were issued against Pure Flavor Farms on Highway 77.

She say the ministry was called to the business on Thursday after a worker's hand was injured by a sealer machine.

Deline says an inspector has attended Pure Flavor Farms.

"We do have an inspector assigned, they did attend the workplace and they've issued two orders to the employer," says Deline.

She says the investigation is ongoing.

"The inspector could also look at machinery or equipment to see how that was functioning time," says Deline.  "They can also request documentation so if they need to see, training records or maintenance records on any piece of equipment, they can also bring in other experts.

As heard on AM800 news on Thursday, Leamington fire along with the OPP and EMS were all called to the scene around 2:25pm.

A female worker was taken to hospital.

The extent of her injuries are unknown.
