Windsor police continue to investigate a fatal hit and run that resulted in the death of a young child.

Although a vehicle has been seized, police say they cannot confirm at this time, this was or was not the vehicle involved and further investigation is required.

According to police, officers attended a home on Chandler Road on Thursday in relation to the investigation after a van matching the description of the suspect vehicle was found.

Because this is still an active investigation, police are stressing the importance of continuing the search for further surveillance.

Investigators also believe the suspect vehicle may have been driving in the 1600 block of Balfour Boulevard on Sunday November 15 at approximately 8:55 p.m.

Investigators are also asking any mechanics or body shops, vehicle parts stores and drive-thru or self-serve car washes to please review video footage from the time of the original incident on Sunday November 15 at approximately 8:45 p.m. until present.
