Police Charge Windsor Man with First Degree Murder

AM800-News-Windsor Police Investigation

Windsor Police Service has made another arrest in relation to a murder investigation from earlier this year.

Police were called to the 800 block of Louis Avenue on Feb. 23 where 55-year-old Lamont Rhue of Windsor was found dead and a murder investigation was launched.

Thirty-three-year-old Leon Quesnel from Windsor was arrested and charged with first degree murder and possession of a scheduled substance on Feb 27.

Police say the murder charge against Quesnel has been dropped, but another arrest was made Wednesday.

The Major Crimes Unit says a suspect was identified and arrested in the 800 block of Marentette Avenue.

A search warrant was also executed in the 700 block of Tuscarora Street that turned up evidence that aided in the investigation, according to police.

Fifty-one-year-old Sean Perryman of Windsor is charged with first degree murder.
