North Sydney man faces impaired driving charges following fatal crash


A fatal collision in Cape Breton has resulted in numerous alcohol-related driving charges against a 27-year-old North Sydney man.

Adam Fraser was driving a vehicle when it left the road and overturned in the ditch September 20th on Highway 125 in Leitches Creek.

Police say a woman in the front passenger seat was ejected and died on September 25th from the serious injuries she sustained in the crash.

Four young children were also in the vehicle, with one sustaining moderate injuries and the three others sustaining minor injuries.

Fraser is charged with impaired driving, driving with a blood alcohol level above the legal limit, impaired driving causing bodily harm, impaired driving causing death, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, and operating a vehicle while prohibited.

He was arrested on Tuesday and has been remanded until November 14th.
