  • Colchester Historeum new fundraiser - Chase the Ace!

    The Colchester Historeum is starting a new fundraiser - Chase the Ace! The first draw will be held at the Colchester Legion Stadium on Saturday, March 14th at 4pm. Doors will open at 2pm, and tickets will be sold on site from 2pm-4pm. Tickets are being sold for 3 for $5.00. Tickets will be on sale each Monday morning until Friday night each week at the following locations: -Valley Variety (93 Salmon River Rd.) -Fletcher's Restaurant (337 Prince St.) -MacQuarries Pharmasave (179 Esplanade St.) -Bible Hill Bowlacade (27 Jennifer Dr.) -Grant's Grocery (1117 NS-311, North River) -Kennedy's Variety (13 Ryland Ave.) -East End Mini Mart (1321 E Prince St.) -Elizabeth's Family Hair Care (76 Walker St.) -Colchester Historeum (29 Young St.)
  • Weekly Thursday Bingo

    Weekly Thursday Bingo has returned to the Wentworth Recreation Centre. Doors open at 6pm, with a 7pm start. Provincial public health gathering rules apply, and extra sanitizing precautions are in place. Attendance will be limited to 50 participants, so arrive early so as not to be disappointed.
  • Colchester United Way Back to School Program

    Colchester United Way is once again offering their Back to School program to those families struggling to provide school supplies for their children starting back to a Colchester County school this September. They are putting a call out for donations of NEW school supplies and non-medical face masks to help these families. Last year approximately 125 families, that included 300 children, received assistance though this program They are accepting donations at Unit 20, Truro Centre from 10 am until 2 pm on the following days: Monday, August 10 Tuesday, August 11 Monday, August 17 Tuesday, August 18 For further details or to register to receive a starter kit, contact Colchester United Way at 902.895.9313 or coordinator@colchester.unitedway.ca

    Truro Sports Heritage Society Blueberry Fundraiser - Proceeds go to support the Truro Sport Heritage Society. Blueberries provided by Glenmore Farms.   • Great Village Shotokan Tigers Karate Club Open House

    Great Village Shotokan Tigers Karate Club is having an open house on Sunday, August 16th from 1pm-3pm at the Faith Baptist Church, 38 Station Road, Great Village There will be demonstrations, bbq,and water provided . This will be an outdoor event. Hope you can attend.
