A 30-day limit imposed in March on drug prescriptions and refills in Nova Scotia has been lifted for most medications.

The Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists says the measure has been successful in limiting drug shortages during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pharmacies have been advised that they can begin dispensing prescribed quantities for medications that have a stable supply.

But the college says the 30-day limit will continue for some medications that remain in short and unstable supply.
