43-year-old man charged after New Glasgow apartment complex fire
A 43-year-old Pictou County man is facing arson and mischief charges after an apartment complex fire in New Glasgow Friday.
Officers responded around 9:35 a.m. October 2 to a report of a theft from a vehicle in the Carlton Street area and a fire at an apartment complex on Summit Avenue.
Four people in the complex at the time escaped the fire unhurt, while the building sustained minor damage.
New Glasgow Regional Police say a 43-year-old Pictou County man was arrested in connection to the theft and the fire.
He is facing five charges, including arson, three counts of mischief and theft from a vehicle under $5,000 and was remanded into custody pending a court appearance Monday.
