Barrington man charged with aggravated assault in Clyde River
Police say a 27-year-old man is facing aggravated assault charges following an incident in Clyde River Saturday.
A release states at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, one man struck another in the head with a piece of lumber at a home in the community before physically assaulting him.
RCMP say the suspect, who is known to the victim, forcibly took another person from the home when he left.
Police say the accused was located and arrested on Sunday evening.
27-year-old Dustin Crowell of Barrington is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, assault, kidnapping, and three counts of fail to comply with a release order.
RCMP say Cromwell was remanded into custody before appearing in court Monday.
He was remanded a second time pending a court appearance Thursday.
