Boil advisory remains as Lower Sackville water main break under repair

news-update

Halifax Water says it's crews are still working to repair a broken water main that has prompted a precautionary boil water advisory.

The break occurred Friday near the intersection of Cobequid Road and Glendale Drive.

The utility says water service is expected to be restored by noon today, and that until then some customers may continue to experience low, or no water pressure, as well as discoloured water.

Meanwhile, a boil water advisory remains in place for customers in the communities of Fall River, Waverley, Windsor Junction, Capilano, Miller Lake, Frame, Silverside, Lakeview and Lower Sackville.

Residents should boil tap water for two minutes prior to use for consumption or cleaning.
