Police say a 24-year-old Brookfield man is facing charges after a collision in the community on June 19.

Officers from Colchester County District RCMP responded around 7:40 p.m. to a report of a collision involving a motorcycle and a car on Highway 289.

RCMP say the motorcycle was traveling eastbound when a car coming in the opposite direction veered across the yellow line and collided with it.

Police say the 17-year-old female driving the motorcycle was transported to hospital via LifeFlight with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

A release states the 24-year-old from Brookfield driving the car was arrested for Dangerous Operation Causing Bodily Harm and was later released.

He is due in court in September.
