CMHA opens new home on Prince Street
After nearly three years of work, the Colchester East Hants branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) has officially opened their new home in Truro.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Thursday following a Walk for Mental Health from the NSCC campus to the building on Prince Street.
The building itself was a Woolworth's Department Store and then the location for the Bargain Shoppe until early 2013.
The CMHA purchased the building in 2017.
Complimentary massages and a community barbeque were held Thursday afternoon, and donations throughout the day are going to the group's Building Campaign.
A Music & Mental Health: Celebration & Fundraiser starts at 6:30 p.m.
